Serge Melchiorre grabs a maiden victory at The Scandinavian Championship, taking the lead  over Houston’s Chuck Watson.

The third edition of The Scandinavian Championship took place once again at the fabulous Bro Hof Slott Golf Club, just a few miles north of Stockholm.

The course was set in perfect condition as usual and offered the perfect test for all participants.

After a few years of absence, Serge Melchiorre was happy to return to play The World Amateur Tour and discover this top-notch golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones.

Melchiorre quickly took the advantage over the first round shooting a good 28 points just one point ahead of Houston Oaks’s resident Chuck Watson.

On the second day the two players were head to head the whole way round but Melchiorre had the last word and ended up with two consecutive pars on the tricky 17thand 18thto grab the overall title. Chuck Watson finishes one point behind to take home the Legend’s series trophy.  Yann Robin finished 3rd and Alexander Krasnenkov took the 2ndseries title.

In the ladies series, Anne-Catherine Robin once again played great golf, scoring 54 points and coming close to winning the overall prize to conquer the boys. She stands number one on the ranking with two wins.

In the men’s ranking we have now Marc Topiol and Serge Melchiorre sharing the lead with 100 000 points followed by Yann Robin with 67 490 points, and Chuck Watson with 54 000 points.
